Study Reveals Successful Weight Loss Maintenance Behavior
A recent study was performed by the National Weight Control Registry on the most successful long term weight loss habits of men and women. Following this group of 4,500 people over a period of 1-7 years, 45% of studied individuals had lost weight on their own and 55% had lost weight following a weight loss program. The minimum amount of weight recorded was 30 lbs and the maximum amount of weight recorded for an individual was 300 lbs. While weight loss programs varied and was unique to each individual, a common component was noticed and shared by most individuals.
